About Darren
Over his last 20 years in the Fitness Industry, Darren has consulted and presented across Australia and Internationally for hundreds of clubs, studios, owners, managers, staff and personal trainers with outstanding success. Since starting out in the industry in 1996 as a personal trainer while completing his Sports Science Degree, Darren moved into the sales side of the fitness industry in 1998 where he started as a membership consultant driven by his love of sales and commitment to achieving outstanding results. Following his great success as a membership consultant, in 2000 he moved into leadership roles in the industry including, club manager and club, regional and state sales manager. During his time in the fitness industry, Darren has become an established expert in sales, communication and leadership and as a result of his vast experience, he is a regular presenter at key industry events and conferences as an industry expert, notably presenting at FILEX, the largest fitness convention in the Southern Hemisphere.
Following his passion for sales and communication skills, Darren has created a successful career with the Impact Training Family as an engaging presenter, sought after trainer and inspiring mentor. Darren’s mission is to empower individuals and teams to maximise their income potential and ultimate success. He does this by teaching and sharing with his client’s simple sales and communication skills that he has tried and tested himself. Using his experience working in a variety of environments, such as private boutique clubs, large-country clubs and international multi-club chains, Darren is able to deliver highly relatable, engaging training, which ultimately sees outstanding measurable results for his clients. Darren is a firm believer that business success can ultimately be traced back to sales, management and communication skills.
Continuing to follow his commitment to stay at the forefront of industry trends, Darren became a certified DISC presenter in behavioural style analysis. This unique certification allows him to teach his clients about behaviour and how best to communicate with each behavioural style to maximise success. Darren offers in-house training and consulting on a variety of topics, one-on-one sales mentoring and is also available for key note presentations.
